Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day looooooong weekend! I know I did. We had a wonderful time catching up on some much needed yard work, visiting my family in Hickory for my niece's third birthday party, and relaxing!
Please always check the work that comes home in the Monday folders. I try to send home as much graded work as I can so that you can go over incorrect answers together to learn from mistakes (which are sometimes very quick, silly mistakes). Also, in the Monday folders you will find a parent log in for Xtramath! We will be starting this soon in class. It is a great website to help students practice math facts. We will be focusing on multiplication. We have an author, Elizabeth Eulberg, coming to visit our 4th and 5th graders Thursday. We will be visiting from 2:55-3:40 Thursday afternoon. This is something your children will not want to miss. Monday on the math homework sheet is optional this week. This Friday is an Early Release. We will start dismissal at 1:15! We are rocking and rolling through all of our subjects. We have started Magnetism & Electricity in Science and will continue to do that through the rest of this quarter! We are still focusing on reading closely and looking for character traits, theme, setting, and much more! Math is whizzing by with factors & multiples right now. Reviewing multiplication facts is ALWAYS helpful. Thanks, parents, for all you do. You are wonderful! Mrs. Farrell
