I hope everyone has enjoyed their nice, long weekend! It sure is chilly today! Please remember to send your child with a good jacket, close toed shoes, long pants, and gloves, hat, and scarf, if you prefer, for recess! This week is track out week, so we will be cleaning things out, packing them up, and getting our room ready for the track four class coming in. :)

This week started warm and finished quite chilly! There are a handful of strep cases in our school this week. During this lovely time of year, please help your child remember the importance of hand washing and covering their mouths when they cough and sneeze. In addition, please keep them home if they have a fever or have been vomiting or having diarrhea. Thank you!

It’s time for your child to show heart! This year, we’re launching the Kids Heart Challenge. It’s your child’s chance to be a Heart Hero by learning about heart health, spreading the word and raising funds to save other children. Have your child go to heart.org/kidsheartchallenge so they can take one of the three challenges and email family and friends to ask for donations. Your child will earn a glow in the dark wristband just for registering online. When they get donations, they will receive Echo, Finn and a clasp. Your child will be receiving information during their Physical Education classes over the next several weeks. Please look it over and help them collect donations if you would like too. We will start collecting on Wednesday, Jan 9, 2019 and end our collecting on Friday, Feb 15, 2019. ALL CASH OR CHECK DONATIONS SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK TO SCHOOL AND TURNED INTO MR EDWARDS BEFORE Feb 15th. MR EDWARDS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF ALL ONLINE DONATIONS BY EMAIL. Some prizes will be handed out during PE classes and others will have to be ordered and will be handed out 3-4 weeks after all donations have been turned in. Thank you for supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students and the American Heart Association. Thank you, Mr. Edwards, [email protected] Old, but still relevant news:
