Oops! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Here's the newsletter!
What We Are Learning:
Upcoming Dates:
New Things: This is new, but old. Please remember to send in a healthy snack with your child for snack time. The purpose of the snack is to hold them over until lunch. Students who eat breakfast at school eat from 8:45 - 9:15 (sometimes until 9:30 if they get in late) and then we have snack again at 10:15. We eat lunch at 12:15. One snack should suffice, but you may send in extra in case they are hungry later. Please do not send in cake, cookies, or candy. As you know, that will not keep little bellies full and little minds focused. Remember we are trying to help our children be the best they can be! If you are able, please donate snacks to our classroom for those who come to school hungry and without a snack. Thanks so much! Old Things: Socktober As the weather begins to turn cold, let’s remember those less fortunate than us. Did you know that socks are the least donated item at most homeless shelters? The LPES Student Council wants to change that! During the entire month of October we will be collecting and participating in SOCKtober. We will be collecting NEW socks in every size. The donations will be sent to those families in our community who need them most as well as a local homeless shelter. There will be a drop off in the main lobby and in Mrs. Noland’s classroom (2209). The Student Council thanks you for thinking of those in need! Thanks for all you do, Mrs. Farrell
