Welcome to our 3rd week of remote learning! This has been an adjustment, but the Seesaw activities and Google assignments are going really well. Thank you for all who have been participating.
I know this is tough. It's definitely not the same as being in a classroom with me having the ability to explain things. However, if your child is in need of some help, PLEASE let me know so I can set up a one-on-one meeting or a small group meeting during my office hours or on Fridays. I'm sure you know by now that Governor Cooper stated on Friday that all NC school buildings will be closed for the rest of the school year. What does that mean for us? We will continue with our class meetings and remote learning. Our last day of school will be June 11th. I do not know what next school year will look like. That being said, I have a handful of mixed emotions. I am so happy to have this time with my boys. I get to watch them grow and have all the snuggles and spit up I could ever dream of. On the other hand, I miss my "kids." They were my kids first, and I was not ready on March 13th to "let them go." Had I known it would've been our last day together, I would've made sure to get a hug (even with the germs) from every one of them. I am so sad thinking about all of the things we will miss out on as we miss the last quarter together in our classroom. My heart breaks knowing what we had won't be any more. I honestly avoided thinking about it as long as I could this weekend. I feel like time was stolen from me with a group of seriously awesome kids. Thank you so much for raising such sweet, wonderful children. At this point, I am working on making our meetings even more fun and meaningful to feel like we didn't "miss out" on as much. Please let me know if your child is unable to make a meeting so I can make it up with them another time. This week in our lessons, we are learning:
Thank you so much. You are incredible. We will get through this together. Mrs. Farrell
