I can't believe this is the last Weekly Update email I will be sending you. This year ended so strangely and I am left with a feeling of sadness. I am going to miss your sweet kids so much! Over this "summer" break, I won't be checking email daily, but please send pictures of fun for me to find when I do check it! Thank you so much for all of your support this year and especially during these last few months and my maternity leave. This was a very different year for all of us. I cannot express how much I appreciate you and how awesome you've been. There is a lot of information for today! Plesae read! Whole Class Meetings Next week we will be having two whole class meetings. We will have our usual meeting on Monday, June 8th at 12:00. We will have our final meeting of the school year on Thursday, June 11th at 10:30am. Use the Google Classroom Meet links for both meetings. Supply Pick Up Please make sure that you pick up your child's belongings on Monday, June 8th. I have bagged and labeled all of your child's materials. Please use the schedule below. Families will not be allowed to come into the building during pick up days. You will use the bus loop to create a line. If you are unable to pick up materials on this day, you will need to call the front office to set up an appointment to come another time. Last Names A-I 9:00-11:00 Last Names J-R 11:30-1:30 Last Names S-Z 2:00-4:00 Yearbooks Yearbooks will be distributed on the Supply Pick Up day. The PTA will have a table set up in the bus loop and if you ordered a yearbook, you will be able to stop at the table to pick it up during that time. Fourth Grade Teacher On Monday, June 8th, your family will receive an email from your child's fourth grade teacher with details about their Step Up Day event. I will not be sharing classroom assignments before then. If you do not receive an email from your child's teacher, please email me by Tuesday morning so I can make sure you get the necessary information. If you are leaving LPES, you will want to contact your child's new school about a virtual meet with their new teacher. Step Up Day Students will have a virtual step up day on Wednesday, June 10th, at 11:00am using Google Meet. Your child's fourth grade teacher will give you the details for this meeting. Please try to ensure your child is able to virtually attend this meeting. Getting to interact with their new teacher is so important in generating excitement about the new school year and diminishing some anxiety about moving up as well. Archiving Seesaw & Google Classroom On the last day of school, I will be archiving both our Seesaw class and our Google Classroom. All of your child's work in Google Classroom will be saved in their Google Drive. If you would like to keep your child's Seesaw work, you can download it as a PDF. Once I archive the class, your child's work will be available for 60 days. Visit this website for more information: Seesaw info for archiving Report Cards Report cards are coming home today. They have been marked "Confidential" and are encrypted. If you are having trouble opening the document, please follow these instructions: Work this week is a bit more on the fun side instead of "work work." :) We aren't quite finished with math lessons, so they continue pretty normally. EL lessons are a bit shorter than what they've been. There are no science lessons for the week since we are done with plants. There is an optional activity instead of science lessons. We finished socials studies a few weeks ago. I have included a picture of the home learning pacing guide below.
Thank you for everything. I truly appreciate it with my whole heart. Mrs. Farrell
