Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine this SUNNY, gorgeous weekend!
As I'm sure you are already doing, please remind your child of proper hand washing at home. We have two cases of the flu in our class already. I am sanitizing the classroom and the nightly cleaning crew is doing what they can as well. Please stay well, and stay home if fever temps or sickness occur. Thank you so much! Important Dates:

-Mrs. Farrell Hello and happy Monday! This is our first full week back! I'm so excited! I hope everyone had a lovely "snow" day. Mr. Farrell and I took P&R outside in their little snowsuits one time for a picture. They cried the whole time, of course!
Have a wonderful day! Important Dates:

-Mrs. Farrell Welcome Back! I hope you had a wonderful track out. I have definitely missed being in the classroom, and I am excited to start back! My break was wonderful and full of snuggles, nap times, and learning a whole new job as Mom to twin boys! Thank you so much for your patience and flexibility so I could take some much needed time to be with my new family.

A Note from Mrs. Stone: SINGLE SUBJECT ACCELERATION (SSA) It's that time of year again when we start to think about next school year's academics. Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is an option to consider for students that have demonstrated a need for advanced curriculum/acceleration of one grade level above their current grade level. These would be students that have demonstrated Level 4 work throughout this school year and have demonstrated a need for advanced curriculum in multiple learning standards. SSA is offered both in English Language Arts and in Math, but you may only chose one subject to nominate your student. Attached are some links that will helpful to determine if your student would be a good candidate. If you are thinking about the SSA program, please consult your students' classroom teacher for their input. They know your child's academic needs best and would be best to tell you if your child would be a good candidate. If you should have any further questions, please feel free to email our AIG Teacher and SSA Coordinator, Amy Stone at [email protected]. SSA Nomination Window is only OPEN for ONE week this year! Track 1 - February 24th - 28th Tracks 2, 3 & 4 - March 23rd - 27th SSA Testing Window Tracks 1 ,2 & 3 - April 13th - 23rd Track 4 - April 28th - May 8th A Note about Yearbooks: YEARBOOK ORDERING You can now order your 2019-2020 LPES Yearbooks online! Thanks so much, Mrs. Farrell I can't believe we are already in track out week! This track in always seems to fly by. Maybe even more this time because of some new life updates coming my way! :) Thank you all for your sweet words and support during this time. I truly appreciate how wonderful you've been. I could not do this job without amazing parents like you.
I am attaching a letter in my email with the information about the long term substitute teacher for my maternity leave. Please read and let me know if you have questions. I am confident everything and everyone will be very well taken care of in my absence. Announcements/Updates: Important Dates:

Thanks so much, Mrs. Farrell I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Saturday, Mr. Farrell replaced the second half of our fence in the backyard. This was a big to-do list item before the babies come, so we are relieved to have it done! Copper and I were not much help. ;) We did have a few people helping out at different times in the day.
